Watching Court

It's not easy to make a social film in such an understated fashion and that's where Court scores. It is subtle in generating a political gesture rather than making a thumping political statement. Through the shifting perspectives of the accused, the lawyers on both sides and finally the judge, it says all that it wants to say with a silent pulse. An interesting film to think through the function of law within and without the court where the personal and the political meet.
